Time Turner Ornament
Usually a couple times a month, our 3rd period Project MAKE class goes to the Mac lab to complete Google Classroom assignments. Since I'm in Project MAKE 2, though, there are some projects that I have already done - whether it be that exact project, or a variation of it. Ever since I've started the Arduino projects, every time we have gone to the lab I haven't been able to work on those projects on Project Ignite, so I did one of the MAKE 1 assignments instead: an ornament.
The design that I chose was the Time Turner that Hermione uses in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the third book and movie in the franchise. I thought it would be fun to construct since it's more than a flat ornament. I decided to make it out of cardboard, with bits cut out and engraved by the laser cutter. The rings on this Time Turner, though, are stationary since they're held in place by hot glue. It was pretty fun to design and trace on Inkscape, and, hey, now I have a little piece of Harry Potter memorabilia for my tree this year!
Happy Holidays, everyone!
